Old Glory (2026)

“We must remember our history.”

Old Glory is a conceptual art project released in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States. It revisits the people and places of early twentieth-century America through the enduring work of the Detroit Publishing Company. Through richly colored photochrom postcards, the DPC captured a nation on the cusp of modernity, portraying its landscapes, cities, and people in luminous detail. This collection views America through that archival lens, preserving not only the images but also the voices behind them. The handwritten messages on these postcards offer intimate, authentic glimpses into the lives of those who once held, sent, and received them.
